Set up calendar sync carefully
Export the listing’s iCal URL from the booking platform, create or select the matching house in PlanAhead, set the correct property timezone, and paste the feed URL. Review imported reservations before assigning work.
Use only a calendar URL intended for export. Never paste your booking-platform password into PlanAhead.
- One feed should map to the correct house
- Check timezone and checkout day
- Review calendar health after changing a listing
- Use manual cleanings for off-calendar work
Automatic does not mean instant
iCal is a pull-based exchange format. Source platforms and consuming apps refresh on schedules, so a last-minute cancellation or booking may not appear immediately.
For a same-day change, contact the cleaner and correct the job manually rather than waiting for the next refresh.
Price and limits
PlanAhead offers Free ($0), Basic ($7.99/month), Pro ($14.99/month), and Unlimited ($24.99/month) plans in the United States. App Store or Google Play shows the final localized price before purchase.
PlanAhead is not affiliated with Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com, Turno, Breezeway, or Properly. Calendar imports depend on third-party iCal feeds, which can update with a delay. Always keep an operational backup for urgent same-day changes.
Questions people ask
Frequently asked questions
What is an iCal link?
It is a private calendar-feed URL that lets another calendar-compatible app read event dates. Treat it as sensitive.
Will sync update instantly?
Not always. Refresh timing depends partly on the source feed, so urgent changes should be confirmed manually.
Can I mix synced and manual jobs?
Yes. Manual jobs cover direct bookings, deep cleans, maintenance cleans, and exceptions.
